]]>Yesterday, on my birthday, I didn't feel that great. I had a good day though, my hubby took me out to dinner, and got me some cool presents. I just didn't feel very good. I was coughing at bedtime the other night, then in the morning. Now my throat is so sore. I'm going to have to call my doctor tomorrow, even though I was just there yesterday. She's going to have to call me in an antibiotic I think. It hurts so bad, hurts to touch my neck even. My mom-in-law went to her doctor on Monday, and she has strep throat. Not sure if I have that, but it kind of feels like it. If I feel this yucky when I wake up, I probably won't go to work. We'll see I guess.
I want some ice cream. It would feel good on my throat, but it's too late. I have to go to bed. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday. tgif

]]>It's a Saturday night and I'm laying in bed. Nate had this laptop before we were married. For some reason, it recently occurred to me that I could actually use the laptop and lay in bed at the same time. DUH April. Because we have dial up service out here though, Nate had to run a longer phone line so I can actually be in bed using the laptop. It was no big deal though.
Nate has an ear infection in both of his ears. He went to the doctor on Wednesday. The doctor gave him an antibiotic and a steroid pack. He had to see the doctor again on Friday to see if the medication was helping. The doctor said not enough. Now Nate has to see an ear nose and throat specialist. We have to call on Monday to get that set up. He may even have to have tubes put in for a while so his ears can drain properly. I hate this. I just feel like he's been through enough pain and being miserable. With having cancer twice. Chemotherapy, stem cell replacement. He says it doesn't really hurt, just more miserable than anything. I just wish I could fix it, make it go away for him. We are laying in bed. Thank goodness NASCAR started today. That's what he loves. Dale Earnheardt Jr. is his favorite driver. So this is occupying his mind for now. I like it, but don't enjoy it as much as he does. Actually, I'd rather watch football. He doesn't care for football though. It's over for this season anyway.
This weekend was not our full weekend with the girls, just visitation during the day. Today was Kylie's day. Her mom works at Wal Mart and her Saturday schedule is normally 7am to 4pm. Since Nate isn''t feeling well, I insisted he just sleep in this morning and I went to pick her up by myself. That's fine, no complaints from me. I got to do my necessity shopping early this morning before it was crowded. It's so much easier to shop when there's hardly anyone in the store. I took her back at 4pm. We've just been lounging around since I got home earlier. Kylie is such a good baby, we're so lucky. We saw Jasmine last night when we got home from work. Nate's mom usually picks her up for our visit since we don't get off work till 5pm. We don't live far at all from his parents. We live on their property, in the back of it though. We can just walk or drive when it's cold or wet.
Tomorrow we won't be doing anything. Watching more NASCAR and probably some movies. We might play Scrabble, Monopoly Here & Now, or one of our board games. We like to do that a lot too. I want to play my American Idol game, but Nate is not in a position to compete singing.
Well I'm going to get off VOX and look around online now.

How are you ringing in the New Year tonight?
My husband Nate and I are going to my best friend Traci's house. We don't have our girls tonight, so we'll miss them a bit. Traci, Bethani (her daughter), Nate and I will be playing games, eating some yummy snacks, and just hanging out. I myself and anyone else who wants to will be tuning in to FOX's New Year's Eve show to watch Chris Daughtry. I will Tivo it here at home. We will be staying the night over there too. I just don't trust the drunk drivers that will be out there tonight. I think it's safer to just stay where you are on New Year's Eve if you can.
So I will be spending my New Year's Eve with my husband and my best friend from grade school, and high school. I feel pretty fortunate.

]]>My last day off before going back to work tomorrow. I have had a pretty good six days in a row off. Our first Christmas together was excellent. Kylie and Jasmine got a LOT of toys, and now I have to figure out what to do with their bedroom. These girls are just so deprived *sarcasm*. (I am thankful for having them and that they are so loved) I think it's time to get rid of some of their toys.
I really should be rearranging, cleaning, organizing something. All I feel like doing though are things I never get to do. Like spend time online, read, watch a dvd, go through all my music (cd or computer). I have a lot of music and it definitely needs categorized, etc. I'm doing a little of that now, but I need to get my butt away from the computers. I say computers, because I'm online on Nate's, and going through my music on mine...lol. I also should be posting new pics that we have of the girls on Christmas.
I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. I did get some new scrubs to wear to work though. I can wear scrubs where I work now. I am still with the same agency (for 3 years Dec. 2nd), but I transferred to the Behavioral Health office. Ha, kinda funny, ME working in an office that has three psychiatrists, none of which I see for myself. Though we do have some good ones. I don't want anyone reading my file though...lol. I work in the file room sometimes and I know how easily accessible my records would be, even if they put them in a special confidential area. Anyway, wearing scrubs is like waking up and just putting another pair of pajamas on. And for me that's a wonderful feeling! I love my pjs!
On a whole other note..... My late Christmas present that I received yesterday, was a very big surprise. Nate got me an autograph from Katharine McPhee and it is personally addressed to me, my full name, and 'heart' Katharine McPhee. It was a late gift because of her being on tour and being ill. Along with it came another autographed photo of Katharine McPhee AND Taylor Hicks, that one was an extra due to the other being so late! Now I just need Carrie Underwood's, Chris Daughtry's, and other AIs that I love.

]]>Is it ever going to stop raining here? I'm beginning to wonder. There is flooding in our area, and some of it pretty bad. The main highway that goes through our town, part of it was closed earlier today. There was supposed to be a festival/carnival here this weekend. Nope. Everything was set up though, and it all got flooded. Nate went to the bank this morning and saw it. He said the vendors booths were flooded, the ticket office flooded, and some other things too. There were supposed to be several festivals throughout southern Illinois this weekend, about 8 that I knew of anyway. Further south of us it's even worse. Today, September 23rd, was the original date we had chosen for our wedding day. I am soooo glad we changed it, this would have been an absolute mess.
Getting off of my klonopin is a hard thing to do. I've been working on it really hard though. I think I'm doing pretty well. I try to calm myself when I feel a panic or anxiety attack coming on. I tell myself to just breathe, try to think of something different, it will pass. I'm asking God to help me get through this. I really want to be able to function on very little medication, if any. Nathan and I want to try to have a baby, that is the main reason I'm trying so hard. If I get pregnant there won't be any medication to fall back on. I want to try my hardest to have a very healthy baby, if I'm able to have one.
My wedding is next Saturday! *scream* I am getting nervous. Traci picked up my dress yesterday, along with her's and Bethani's. Oh please don't let me forget anything. yikes

Kylie Elizabeth Beckwith ... my babydoll. She'll be ten months old on October 1st. These pics are from when she was probably seven or eight months. Now she is crawling all over the place, has been for a few weeks. One of my favorite little people in the whole world.
I'm going to be a stepmom in 11 days! I'm so excited and so nervous! I want to be the best stepmom ever.
